Common Bail Bond Questions
How much does a bail bond cost in Tennessee?
Every bond is different. The court sets the bond amount, and your figure depends on it. Call us with the name and the county and we will quote your exact figure on the first call, before you commit to anything.
Payment plans are available as Tennessee law allows, and there are no hidden fees.
How long does a release take?
We post the bond once the paperwork is signed and payment is arranged, usually within an hour of your call. After that the timing belongs to the jail. An hour is quick, a few hours is normal, and a busy weekend runs slower. We stay with it until your person is out.
Are you available at night and on weekends?
Yes. A licensed local agent answers any hour of any day, in all 19 counties, and has since 1991. There is no different rate for a call at 3 a.m.
What should I have ready when I call?
The person's full name, their date of birth, and the county holding them. The charge and the bail amount help but are not essential. We can usually look those up. Bring photo ID if you will be signing as the co-signer.

What happens if a court date is missed?
Let us know the same day if you can. A missed appearance starts a forfeiture and can lead to a bench warrant. Many of these are resolved when we hear early, so it is always worth the call.
What does a co-signer agree to?
The co-signer guarantees the defendant appears in court, and is responsible for the cost of the bond and, if the defendant does not appear, for recovery costs and potentially the full bond amount. We go through the document with you before anything is signed.
Do I need collateral?
Not always. It depends on the bond amount, the charge and the co-signer's circumstances. We will tell you plainly whether your situation needs it before you commit to anything.
